The Dive Sites
Visibility and Temperature
The visibility here in Lanzarote (especially in the north), can go up to 40 meters in summer and, even in winter it’s never less than around 10-15 meters.
The water temperature varies from around 18 C in the winter to around 24 C in the summer.
In the north, where we conduct most of our dives, we rarely meet other dive groups – this means we can always offer more fish than divers.
Life and Topography
You can find big schools of fish, lots of barracudas, angel sharks, big tunas, garden eels, octopus, cuttle fish, different nudibranches, and there are dive sites where we can almost guarantee rays 🙂
There are amazing lava formations, arches, caverns, drop-offs and swim-throughs, and all dive sites here in the north are accessible from shore.
Further south (approx. 35min drive by car), there are even some nice wrecks to explore.
Entries and Exits
Some of the dive sites in the north are easily accessible and suitable for beginners and experienced divers alike.
However… there are also dive sites for the more adventurous, as they have demanding entries and exits (including the use of a rope!) – however offer stunning diving that you will never forget.
Our confined water sessions and try dives are held on very calm days just in front of the dive center.
On other days we dive in some natural pools (a 5-15 minute drive away -accessibility depends on the tide!), and on very windy days in Puerto Del Carmen (Playa Chica), a 30 min drive away to the south of the island.
