Greetings from the team at Northdiving Lanzarote!

We are passionate divers who love organising amazing experiences and adventures for other passionate divers and ocean lovers.

A multilingual and international crew from Germany and Spain, we speak English, German, Spanish and a little French. You can read about us below, and we look forward to meeting you!

Florian ‘Floh’ Herzberg

CEO, Tec Instructor Trainer

Floh has been a professional diver since 1997. Most of the 3500 dives he has done were in Dahab and Sharm el Sheikh in Sinai / Egypt. However he has also dived in the Galapagos Islands, the Azores, the Mediterranean Sea, has ice dived in Finland… and of course made some pretty cold dives in Austrian and German lakes 🙂

Floh teaches PADI Dive Courses from beginner level to PADI Divemaster and all kinds of Technical Dive and Instructor Courses. Most of this training has been done at the famous “Blue Hole” in Dahab. The years before he came to Lanzarote he was managing the Reef 2000 Dive Club in Dahab, Egypt, where he is still a partner.

Floh is also a professional cameraman who has recorded footage both above and underwater.

Juan Cantaño

PADI IDC Staff Instructor

Juan was born in Argentina and started to dive in 2005. He has been diving in Ecuador, Colombia, República Dominicana, Bonaire, Argentina, Uruguay, Spain, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium and Thailand. Some of this places just for fun, but most of them working as a Scuba Instructor. From warm water where you only need a t-shirt, to the coldest ice diving in the north of Europe; diving in wrecks, flooded towns, or with whales, sea lions, sharks, rays or nudibranchies, if there is a chance to get wet, he will say YES.

He has been teaching to people of every age, from kids of 8 years old in camping swimming pool to the grand-grand-father of the same kids 😉 From the basic “one time” and introductory levels like the Discovery Scuba Diving programs and Open Water Diver courses to the professional Divemaster and Assistant Instructor courses. And if you plan to become PADI instructor, he will be glad to help you to accomplish your dream.
In his “previous life” (like he likes to say) he used to be Systems Engineer, Administrator and Computer Programmer for the most prestigious development companies of the world, but after try scuba diving his head started to think more on fishes than computers, but still have this passion for being methodical and learn all the time without forget the safety in any moment.
With more than 2000 scuba dives around the world and he has fallen in love of Lanzarote, specially of Arrieta, he decided to settle here and show the beauty of the island to everyone who has the will to see the “true” Lanzarote. Not only the crowdy touristic places.

Stefanie ‘Steffi’ Bethlehem

CEO II, Logistics, Dive Centre Management

Steffi studied Theatre Sciences, Germanistik and Social Psychology at the Ludwigs Maximilians University in Munich. During her studies she worked at several TV channels and theaters in Germany, including Weimar, Leipzig, Munich and Nürnberg. After qualifying she became Director´s Assistant at the National Theatre in Leipzig.

Steffi started to dive in September 2001. For many years she worked as a PADI Divemaster at Reef 2000 and at 4 other dive centers in Dahab. She had a lot of fun guiding Camel Safaris, Boat-Dive Safaris and Trekking Tours through the Sinai Desert. She also helped to manage several dive centers in Dahab; Desert Divers, Lagoona Divers and Reef 2000.

Steffi now mainly focuses on Northdiving Lanzarote, the logistics of your holiday and the dive centre management.

Lilian ‘Lilly’ Bethlehem

Floh & Steffi’s Daughter

Lilly is 8 years old and a real water baby. Having spent most of her life in Dahab, she was introduced to the Red Sea when she was just a baby. Lilly has been already participating in a PADI Bubblemaker and is looking forward to be old enough to do her Junior Open Water Diver. At the moment she will be only stamping your logbooks 😉
